2006 Season Review

Pat enjoyed a very successful first full season of formula car racing.
He won sixteen races in three different open wheel series in 2006. Pat claimed his first auto
racing championship and won his first two professional races in his initial outing.

Now Pat is ready to take on the 2007 Pacific F2000 Championship Series with his new team, PR1
Motorsports. Bobby Oergel's team has won three Formula Ford F2000 championships since 2002. Pat
will compete in a British built Van Diemen open wheel formula car equipped with a 2-litre Ford
Zetec motor. Winter testing with PR1 got underway in early December and will continue until the
first race of the season in early March.

Pat captured the 2006 SCCA Formula Russell Championship title, Rookie of the Year honors and the
single season win record with twelve victories, four seconds, one third and six poles as well as five
track records and seven fast race laps in seventeen starts. He wrapped up the championship in August
and took his eleventh win in September as he broke Scott Speed's season win record. The Formula Mazda
series, based at Infineon Raceway near Sonoma, California, has claimed as it's recent champions American
Formula One ace Scott Speed and current Cooper Zetec Formula Ford 2000 champion J.R. Hildebrand.

Pat made his professional racing debut in stunning fashion by winning both the Saturday and Sunday
races in the Pacific Formula Ford 2000 Series at Infineon Raceway during the first weekend of September
as he led Team GFRO to their first ever 1-2 finish. Two weeks later he raced the same Van Diemen R05 in
the Cooper Zetec National Series at Road America, Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. Pat was consistently in the top
three on the time charts during his first visit to Road America and led laps in the Sunday race. He
followed up both strong showings by finishing third on both Saturday and Sunday in the Pacific F2000
season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in October.
The seventeen year old high school junior from Los Osos, California started racing formula cars at
age fifteen during the Summer of 2005. He won the first two car races that he contested in the Skip Barber
Eastern Regional Series at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada and followed up with Formula Dodge wins in the
Western Series at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California.

Pat returned to his racing roots this December when he ran the Skip Barber Western Regional at Laguna
Seca. He did plenty of wet running and came away with two rain victories to boost his career car win total
						  to twenty.
